Wallet & Billing
Every tenant has a Wallet — a centralized balance that funds all API keys.
How It Works
The wallet acts as a pre-paid balance. When you create or recharge an API key, funds are deducted from the wallet. When a key is deleted, unused budget is returned.
Wallet Operations
All wallet and billing operations are managed through the ModelHive Dashboard:
Viewing Your Balance
Navigate to Dashboard → Billing to see your current wallet balance, recent transactions, and payment methods.
Recharging the Wallet
- Go to Dashboard → Billing → Recharge
- Enter the amount you want to add
- Complete payment via checkout
- Funds are added to your wallet instantly
Transaction History
View a complete log of all wallet activity:
| Transaction Type | Description |
|---|---|
recharge | Funds added via checkout |
key_allocation | Budget assigned to an API key |
key_deallocation | Budget returned from deleted key |
transfer_to_key | Manual transfer to a key |
transfer_from_key | Manual transfer from a key |
auto_recharge | Automatic key recharge |
cache_savings | HiveCache savings credit |
budget_adjustment | Admin adjustment |
Payment Methods
Manage your payment methods from the Dashboard:
- Add a card — Save a credit/debit card via secure payment setup
- List saved methods — View all payment methods on file
- Set default — Choose your default payment method
- Remove — Delete a saved payment method
Invoices
Access all your invoices from Dashboard → Billing → Invoices. Each recharge generates a detailed invoice with a downloadable PDF.
Fund Transfer (Wallet ↔ Key)
Transfer budget between your wallet and API keys directly from the Dashboard — useful for reallocating budget without creating or deleting keys.
For production workloads, combine the wallet with auto-recharge on your API keys. This ensures your keys never run out of budget as long as the wallet has funds. See Auto-Recharge & Budget Alerts.
